• Botswana's largest reserve
• Was created to protect the San (Bushmen)
Situated in the south-central of the country is this huge expanse
of desertscapes. The 51 00km² Central Kalahari Game Reserve was
initially created in 1961 to provide a haven for the San (Bushmen).
It features a variety of different habitats and the game viewing is
also good, particularly of desert-adapted animals like the oryx and
the desert lion.
