Mchenja can accommodate up to 10 guests in thatched, wooden chalets with picturesque views of the Luangwa River. There is also a bar and sitting area and dining is alfresco, under the ebony trees on the bank of the river.

Mchenja is the newest Norman Carr camp. The name is taken from the local word for an ebony tree as the camp is set in a wonderful ebony grove.
